I own equity in two different syndications, one managed by Brian Burke's (Hands-off Investor) Praxis and another is managed by Robert Kiyosaki's (Rich Dad Poor Dad) property manager MC Companies. 

I have been ignoring a lot of her communication because deep down I dont want to actually split the portfolio or buy her out of her equity, I am just fine continuing along the path we are on. 

However I think the real benefit is being able to keep an eye on your kids while you cook and/or watch some mindless entertainment, and also be able to communicate with your family while also doing kitchen tasks. 

He gives off sleazy used car salesman vibes when communicating with him and I worry about giving him any money only to never hear from him again. 

Yet those are the cities that are going to make you rich, and pretty quickly. 

You can ask the seller for their payment history, whether late fees were paid, and application info, in the past the seller has given me a file containing all communication with the current tenants at closing.Kelly
