It's been a while since I've posted, but I just had a quick question for wholesalers.Do you use a consistent team -- people you keep on payroll, or maybe people who you can contact for help for a fee, or maybe a combination of both?

if i remember correctly, our PM receptionist was covered for STD via remaining on payroll the 1st week he was out sick (as we grant 5 sick days per calendar year, and were closed S&S). then when his doctor faxed that he can't return to work for a full month from the time he called in sick for his pre-existing health concern, we had to put him on LTD for the other 3 weeks out of our insurance policy, and he got paid 60% his normal pay, only, total, for those 3 weeks.

Actually, HD doesn't have thousands of 1099s like carpet/cabinet installers, they actually hire one cabinet installing company to do it for them the required insurance is 2M/5M Liability among others, its a whole new different discussion. 1099s are used by most small businesses like part time bar tending, and large businesses who doesn't want to maintain more payroll, like a construction manager, project manager, tax consultant or legal consultant if they aren't incorporated.
