A financial advisor can help you  create a comprehensive financial plan to make sure you cover all your bases before you move forward. 

Once you're ready, create a goal (e.g., "I will buy at least one single-family home, duplex, triplex, or fourplex before the end of 2019") and then do it.

Save yourself some time by creating a detailed bullet point list of all of the criteria you look for in a deal - and be specific.

I use Zillow to list the property, screen tenants, create or upload the lease, and collect rental payments.  

Create a simple spreadsheet or written list to compare the features of each and identify the ones that align with your requirements.
