One thing I've learned about this issue is to use a high clay based dirt packed against the foundation will minimize the freeze-thaw & torquing of settling, by diverting surface water from being able to cause these issues. 

Hey Clay Huber - We've considered doing that, but that would make the shows a little more dated.

Most of north Texas is clay which moves quite a bit.

@Michael Clay - I am actually using this strategy now.

I need them to be online and pc based as im on tablet/computer with free 2-3hrs per day and 1-2hours at home i should make ok progress. 

As Clay pointed out, investors who are flipping properties typically don't have enough time to source deals.

@Julie McCoy others have already commented on the Raytown/Grandview areas, so I will just say that if you are wanting to invest in an area with good schools, then you should also be looking at areas north of the river in Clay and Platte counties.
