As usual in most responses in this forum you are getting conflicting information. 

Having said all that, if your determined to get into this class, then I'd start in true vacation markets.

Any strategies beyond this would be appreciated.

Seems to me you might be better off structuring this as a purchase immediately with immediate transfer of title with a 300K down payment.
