I’d think you need a lawyer for the real answer but I can give advice on how to prevent this in the future.Did you have a lawyer create a custom lease for you or did you find one online?

We are now upon April 2024, and at the rate things have been going, still have a ways to go (finish ducting for forced hot air, insulation, sheet rock, paint, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, finishes, and anything I am missing to bring the units to whole).

A good buyer's agent would have prevented all of the above (good being the operative word).

I added a mold addendum to my lease and it covers a lot of things that are tenants responsibility in preventing mold.

Agreed on higher rents for the programs but want to make sure there are no huge issues with the City that will prevent payment.
