As far as land is concerned, you can sell it for someone else to build a house on, donate it Habitat for Humanity, a church, or another agency(huge tax write off), eventually build a house on it myself(100k in construction could yield a $150k profit if the house sells for $250k...and you only paid a few hundred for the land plus another few hundred for the legal stuff lol), you can put a billboard on the land and rent it out, parking lot depending on the location, the options are truly limitless!

I will then be leaving for 2 years for a mission for my church.

The senior pastor at our church left and we started looking for someone to replace him.

There are a few caveats, as you have to be a church going professing Christian, but when my wife had our 3rd child, we didn't pay for anything out of pocket!

There are couple of tax filing offices, school , church, municipal court, family dollar, auto repair shops. 

my church is buying a property in MD. currently the property is leased to a senior care operator, owner collect 6k rent each month. it has been going for 15 years.15 years ago owner bought the property with grant from MD State, state said if owner sell to non senior care business within in 30 years, owner need to pay back 500k. now owner still owe banks total 600k.owner accept our offer in mid july with agreement of sale signed, no contingency on grant waived.

If it’s a total dud and neither of the above are viable, then donate it to a church and write off the value against my income.Option 1 above is the best but the difficult part is that virtually no raw land has sold in this neighborhood in the last 5 years so I have no idea what someone may be willing to pay for a lot like this.

Go volunteer, help the church, spend time with your kids, travel, etc.
