It's near commercial areas, schools, and restaurants.Now to assess its ARV, we don't have websites like Zillow or MLS to check how much properties in the area have been sold (and whether they're brand new or remodeled).

There are actually books out there that give remodel costs. 

Or to remodel re-rent? 

My original plan was to remodel my home and use it as a rental but seeing how much equity i have gained in such a short period of time I have changed my mind. 

It may take 1-2 months to schedule and find out court can not handle it and get rescheduled.This could be an opportunity to do some remodeling, painting and raise the price in places where there is rental control.Good luck,Sam Shueh

The property needed a complete basement gut, egress windows, electrical rewire, new A/C & furnace along with a kitchen remodel.

I have the top unit which we remodeled the kitchen 3 years ago.

I am interested in a property in Houston that will need a lot of love and possibly some creativity to help determine 1) if it's a solid building and foundation and 2) how easily it can be remodeled to maximize ROI.
