@Sean TraceyI grew up in queens and left at 20 when I joined the army.You can cashflow on any property but you will have to put more money down.

That will be a fine cash flowing investment worth holding on to when you get reposted next time.Some people have made it work when relocated with the military, such as @Elizabeth Cosgrove.
