You wouldn't want a podiatrist or general practitioner performing heart surgery on you.

The plastic on my baseball cap which I had on backwards (because that’s how I roll) had melted onto my forehead, and the soles of my sneakers had literally melted away to a mushy mess.

If there is any gray colored plastic pipe with crimped copper bands around the fittings, REMOVE IT!  

I was able to get surgery in 2013 for my pain, got that cured, quit the drugs, got my life back, and now have a life with lots of freedom and more security.

I had a contractor to look at it today and he told me to rip it off and to insert some plastic to prevent it from getting wet. 

(It's not life-threatening, just difficult--a minor surgery gone wrong.)

this should soften it. use a plastic spackle knife not a metal one (scratches....) to scrape it.now the next one is to find out what can dissolve the glue/adhesive....try water, mineral spirits, goo-gone, vegetable oil... unless you want to sand/refinish the floors. than you can go gorilla on it with a big scrapper
