If you know what to do with the property and you don't pay a premium because of the location, you can raise income in time more than a property in a poor location.Assume identical buildings, one in a war zone the other in a great location.

Verify the identity of the previous PM (reverse phone number lookup, Internet search, etc), call them, and ask as many questions as you can before they hang up on you.Most importantly, you want to know if they stayed current on their rent, if there were any complaints about them, and whether they left the property in good condition.

There are two almost identical comps that both just went under contract and one had new windows and one had the original ones - so no help there.My real question is, since I'm nearing the end of the project and I'm very close to reaching my budget to I push it a little for the windows and will I get my money back on new ones?

thanks for the replies (for some reason i did not get a notification of these replies, that's why i am just following up).vonville, these two houses are identical. in fact, all the houses in that sub are identitical, cookie cutter type houses (lot, sq. footage, age, rooms, etc, etc.)
