We used conventional financing and put down $25k.It was a two bedroom one bath DUMP.We did a live-in remodel that turned it into a three bedroom, two bath adorable cottage with impeccable landscaping.

Or are these more like Old FL Cottage style units with a coastal vibe that the Terrazzo flooring fits the units and competing units for rent?

In 2022, we will begin planning/construction of our next building(s), which will either be memory care or independent living cottages.  

Roof design will get altered to match the style of the existing home (this build had to match the 1920s tudor cottage, 2nd ADU will have a lower pitched roof to match a 1900s craftsman bungalow)

Hi Folks,I am new to STR and am planning on getting a 400 sqft cottage about 100 feet from beach in Chase Ocean Grove community  (seasonal MAy - Oct ) in Dennis, Cape Cod, MA . 

OK, I'm still cheesed but a little less so.

I have also read a book on building tiny homes (which obviously is more complex than cottages due to weight / dimension restrictions but something we are considering due to potentially re-platting later if we can buy another property next to us)We've never built anything for scratch or ran utilities out and currently have to contend with only having a shared driveway (it's technically half on our property but goes into our neighbors backyard so they've been the ones to use it for years; there is no official easement but from what we looked up from their years of use it's kind of possession being 9/10ths of the law)Do you have experience building a backyard cottage / tiny home in Seattle?

I will say that there are areas here where cottages can't be year round.  

Just not enough cheese on the cracker for it to make any sense.
