You may be netting the same.It might actually make more sense to get the HELOC and buy another investment property.

You'll learn more about the sponsor by learning how they handle an adverse market, and how they survive it, than by comparing projected vs actual without context.

My attorney told me there's some question whether contracts are actually copyrightable, but it doesn't seem worth it to test it.

Lots of people on here want to knock concepts like the one you are asking about, but in my experience most of those people haven't even worked through those kinds of companies or bought properties, so focus on the ones who actually have (if you can figure out who that is). 

The issue in most instances is the inability to articulate the risks and how these structures will actually help and therein lies the issue and why most go over the top on asset protection expenditures.
