I've read a number of threads with a lot of pros and cons to both but several threads mentioned they ended up with 5 yr term etc .. rather than a 30 year term.We have a great local credit union to work with that is easy to work with and has great rates.

None of those would be available if you were to buy a commercial building.. not to say that's necessarily a bad thing.. but still just something to think about.I guess my final piece of advise is make sure you get yourself set up for post military success as far as your benefits go (disability and what not).
