I'm curious if the impact from COVID may help change cities' opinions towards using investment properties for STR's, as there is a health concern element to staying in hotels/motels where there are definitely more risks involved in exposure.

access to market and MLS. access to marketing. exposure to deals I wouldn't have done on my own. networking.But having said that, I was suffocating in my ex-company. they wanted to "turn me into a Realtor", " tied my hand bc they were uncomfortable with Investor risks and issues".

ive actually had 2 properties previously. one was my house in Georgetown that i "flipped" while living in. the second was my wifes house in Richmond Hill before we got married. we tried to make it a rental but it was a disaster from the start, that was my first exposure to just how important a property manager is and how they are all definitely not created equal. i was just winging it then and completely clueless. since then ive been reading a lot of books and have dived in to podcast. planning to buy a rental later this years, this time ill be a little more ready. looking for some people in the area interested in real estate also to bounce ideas off of. maybe partner up on some future projects.
