Should I focus on surviving and then building or should I focus on abundance?

I am about to purchase a business which will be phenomenal for cash flow, and is an area that has abundant  opportunity for real estate investing.

There are more actors in this industry than their are in Hollywood...an abundance of caution is warranted. 

Sadly, there is an abundance of people who are blissfully ignorant and they are buying over-priced properties because they are either too ignorant to do simple math, too lazy and/or they are ignorant enough to invest based on advice from either people who are ignorant or based on advice from people who have their own agenda.People are crazy! 

Our plan is to keep the powder dry and be ready to jump on opportunities as they start to become more abundant.

That action and the abundance of the VA loans has kept me from investing in Killeen.  

The fact is that Indianapolis is becoming one of the hot new turn key markets because there is an abundance of those type of properties.

@Bryson Goforth, after reading the abundance of sensible responses, this comes to mind.

So, #1 get abundantly clear on your goals. #2 run your numbers in the calculators here on BP and post to this thread so you (and we) can see what the actual underwriting is and can give some clear sugguestions.

I think this competition is good, and we will aim to differentiate ourselves in several different ways.The area we're seeking to build in is closer to Atlanta, GA there's an abundance of more traditional cabins with great occupancy rates.
