It seems logical that this would make the tax regressive past some breakpoint If the government continues to deflate the currency going forward and the tax on inflation tax becomes more common will we see even more "revenue" transferred to the government coffers from those under said affluence barrier?

Sure you have fluctuation in currency (can go both ways) but investing in real estate overseas has similar risks, and if you are not a citizen your have very little protection, unless of course you are a foreigner investing in the U.S.!

and what do you consider a good ROII am and Michigan USA and i was making anything from 12-15% on my rental in dubai they told me i would make guarantee 8% so i wanted to give it a try, but after you factor in everything else from the obvious ones like utilities and maintenance fees to the less obvious like property management, currency exchange and transfer fees you're lucky if you can clear 5%and currently there are overwhelming supply there are massive projects being built that mean rental prices will keep declining
