Craigslist, newspaper or simply for rent signs in the yard?  

There was an article in today's LA Times on such a neighborhood.I saw in a Bay Area newspaper last year how real estate had performed across the Bay Area since the end of the recession.  

Read the local newspapers and websites to keep up on what neighborhoods are going to be affected and focus there before they become hot.

I have started "driving for dolllars" as they say, looking for FSBO, uncut grass, newspapers and flyers, for rent even and I am starting to find leads.

Jacob -You can get probates at the courthouse, but you may also be able to get them from another source; possibly on line or in your newspaper.

We barely ever rent a property from a newspaper anymore.  

Doesn't mean there were no rentals available (newspaper, yard signs, etc).

Go to the local newspapers , makes a good human interest story .  

If anyone wants newspapers from the 70s, I'm your man!
