How do you notify the vacationer that you are not refunding the entire security deposit?

In the past, when a vacationer has requested a stay and left a 1 or 2 day gap, my partner offered the additional day at half price but no one has ever taken that. 

However, recently I had a discussion with a homeowner in Sedona, AZ, a now very tourist and popular spot for retirees or vacationers.

Most casual vacationers don't travel with a recreational bicycle. 

Hi @Andy A.I personally do not own rentals for vacationers, but know some people that do.  

It's on a deep lot, so I could potentially make it a flag lot, build another structure on the new lot and do both (renting to students and to vacationers).So, anyone speak the short sale dialect of real estate agentese who could help translate for me and save my pride?

All seemed perfect in the vacationers mind until he took a moment to realize that his one weeks vacation was spent doing what his coworker does everyday.

Certainly vacationers want the standard list of amenities - pool tables, hot tubs, arcades, WIFI. 

On one end there is the kind that’s a slightly longer extension of short term rentals - vacationers, travelers for pleasure, and business travelers staying one month or so and wanting something larger and more residential than a motel/hotel.
