They see median home prices running $600K or so, and those are influenced by all these cool developers ripping out the old and put up brand new crazy-gorgeous glamorous homes -- literally million dollar homes in some cases.There are several houses in that area, very similar, same everything, that have been fixed up (in their current size and floor plan configuration) and flipped for around $285K or so. 

They won't know anything about the property except rather or not they poured pink stuff in the drains and changed the locks. 

I'm from Hamilton, MT (on the western side of the state in a gorgeous valley south of Missoula). 

My father in law has a gorgeous condo by the ocean that is tile all the way through.

Pink or off pink is the color.

Wood paneling everywhere, pink 4x4 tile in the bathrooms, orange and green countertops, you get the picture.

I finally finished the renovations  on my gorgeous house (that's what everyone else says anyway) and I'm renting out the 1 bedroom apt below and just started renting out rooms in the main house where I live. 

I agree with holding the property for a few years & finding the best tenants you can after you make it gorgeous!

The building was gorgeous, and the hosts were very friendly. 

Put that money into KILLING that pink bathroom with that dropped ceiling over the tub, and make it nice.
