As you are finding out, it is so local that the next door building effects your investment. 

I try to manage mine at $100/month/door. 

Adding 1-2 doors this year would be awesome. 

My initial reaction is that it costs $150,000 to add an extra door in a premium location, but I am interested to hear thoughts.

Hi Nathan,So quick question:  once you verify that tenants abandoned the property, and you posted the notice to front door (giving them x days to respond of course) and they still don't respond then you can regain possession of property and proceeding with whatever you need to do in order to list the house again? 

However if you had done a warranty deed (or a special warranty deed if you still have a mortgage on it) instead, your LLC has a claim against you for the issue on the title, and you in turn can go back to your initial title insurance to fix it.Some title insurance will allow to transfer the coverage to an LLC that you own 100%, but not all of them do or they may require an additional fee.

Small correction.. by small apartments we would be looking at 20-30 doors.

In our largest listing, we have a triplex with a total of 11 beds and 10 baths with each bedroom set up to be potentially rented by the room (electronic lock on each bedroom door, and most with a private bathroom).
