Have you looked at options in the Catskills?

I see several pieces of land that fit the bill in Sullivan county on the Catskills craigslist. 

Have you thought about getting a property near a ski resort in the Catskills (Hunter/ Windham)? 

I AirBnB a property in the Catskills and definitely make more than I would if I were renting it out on a year lease, though there is definitely a difference between the Catskills and Hudson Valley in that respect (my place is out of commuting range).

Seconding the astronomical increase in buyer demand here as well in Northern Weschester, as well as in  rural traditional vacation areas such as the catskills and Vermont.

WE are investing in the Catskills and finding it very interesting.

There are plenty of beautiful towns within 90 minutes of NYC in the Catskills area where you can live amongst nature and at a fraction of the cost.
