Many times I have gone to a rental to clean a drain for a landlord and he is sitting there watching and waiting for me to pull the snake out to see what caused the blockage.

Didn't the plumber take care of the snake?

Experienced something for the first time today with a REI jerk that came in at the last minute and snaked a deal I had been working on for two months.

Not sure how you'd do that let alone in a way that isn't a total waste of time....I agree about second opinion, when's the last time the drain been snaked/cleaned?

I do pretty much everything except using a sewer snake.
