Depending on your area you may want to make sure HVAC is set to a good temperature.

Side note, I'm also looking at remote facility control,  I use Simplisafe modules to just have alerts on temperature drop zone-by-zone or of water leaks.

I'll be separating from the military in a year, and although I can get a decent paying job in my current career field (Welding and Machining), I would rather get into a real estate related job.

I live in Louisiana, so Winter is almost irrelevant as far as temperatures go, I was only referring to how slow the sales get during that time. 

That said I am not in Florida.hey Colleen, pool is pretty deep 11 feet and figured it will take a lot of electricity to heat it up (even if i charge a daily rate for heated pool) plus, heard and read that snows birtds usually prefer even warmer temperatures (i know my parents do) - so figured hot tub might be better option ... still contemplating. thanks for your input though :) 

You may notice that we go weeks at a time with the temperature just above 32 in the daytime and just below 32 at night.

Consider adding a temperature controlled gable fan.

Your city/county, shrug, I don't know what the temperature there is about moderate housing -  California just passed a law this week giving ADU's open season.

Most of my properties have been bought during the winter, I think the investors from outside my local area tend to stay away then due to our snowy weather and cold temperatures making it easier to land the deals.
