I have read mixed reviews on investing in this market due to pro tenant system, high vacancy and very slow price appreciation.

We have done this for over a year now and this strategy has gone really well.We are very experienced in the STR space and understand that getting bookings is multi-faceted (ie. listing photos, reviews, amenities, PRICING, description, seasonality, etc).

Only downside is they don’t have much multi family from what I was told from an agent.

This includes, water, hot water, heat, air conditioning, cable, security system, snow removal, lawn care.

But with this being a 5 unit multi-family building most lenders do not offer a loan product that will take the STR revenue into account.

I’ve also read Mexico is also currently building a new train system, scheduled to open in 2023 that links Cancun and Tulum (and other cities) as well as the new Tulum International Airport also scheduled to open in 2023 from what Ive read...so tourism to the area is expected to explode even more, which obviously from a rental investment perspective would be great...unless of course people are scared to go there.

Thank you so much, yes for a small multi family,  I’ve tried with first bank ( and they’re dragging their feet).

The type of properties I'm searching for are single family ranches and multi-family 2-4 units.
