Strength of military here keeps it pretty stable.  

It is also flooded with rentals due to active military using their VA loans to buy homes with almost no money down, then converting to rentals when they deploy or transfer to a new base.

Also within commute to a few military bases and multiple highways @Allen Wu - I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat if it was a deal. 

I’m currently in the military so VA loans are an option.

All that said, in markets with very sparse STR activity, you may not really know the actual demand.Rule of thumb: In cities with a hospital/refinery/military base with multiple chain hotels and population above 10K, there will be STR demand. 

BP Military Heroes - I am hoping to build multiple teams of military/veterans for some future projects and I am wanting to connect with any and all military/veteran power Realtors that are currently helping people buy property in Texas and Colorado.

I did a loan on my TSP account (military retirement account) to pay for a down payment on an investment property, but I’m not sure if that’s the best way to do it.

As I prepare to retire from the military within the next five years, I’m looking to find something that will ensure a smooth transition.

I travelled to Orlando last week to look at STR and have always been interested in getting properties near a military base.

However, I had a somewhat of a track record because I had bought and kept 4 rentals through various military moves and was in a very good financial space--so my track record gave me enough credibility.
