However, as many North Americans, I invest in condos in the USD market in Mexico's main beach destinations and Mexico is a great market for that.When reading your initial comments, I'd never thought that you, being from the US, would invest in long-term rentals in Mexico and hence I wrongly imagined that you were commenting about Mexican real estate without having experience there, like a few people do.

With not knowing your budget I can say that there are certain areas that still have beachfronts available and are in up and coming destination spots but not over saturated with tourist as yet.

And if all else was equal that would be fine but there's no way to really project what July in Moab is going to look like based on current occupancy rates for November.I guess if you track it the whole year and update your spreadsheet every month with figures for the current month until you get through the whole year that would work, but that takes a year.Of course if the area isn't seasonal that's not an issue, but in vacation type destinations almost everywhere is seasonal to some extent.

As a result, some of them have been offering very large discounts on their prices.I also agree that there are great deals to be had in some European tourist destinations but for reasons other than the currency.

TALK to your potential team members, and make sure you guys are all in the same boat and that everyone in that boat knows the destination you are traveling to.All personal opinions and experiences of course, but if I had the chance to do it over, I would have 'jumped' sooner, and I would have invested time into interviewing my real estate agent (as a buyer) BEFORE I signed on to work with them.Looking forward to hearing what other say on this topic!
