I bought a airplane hanger condo for ours and it is a cool set up and the couple of developers on our field that own most of the other hangers they do really well with next to zero maintenance.. and folks with airplanes pay their rent.. different class of tenant by and large.. and then many will with your permission turn them into little man caves or big man caves and some will never even put an aircraft in them.. they will bring their car collections RVs etc.I have also seen big RV storage developments not sure how those faired but interesting none the less.. but with the airplanes I know we have been in the same spot since 2004 and if we did not have the chance to buy it we would still be renting.

Stained concrete is just way too taste specific for a flip.I say stick to conventional flooring and finishes in the house, and if it makes sense for the flip/neighborhood to do a bonus space like a man cave or finished basement, then put the concrete floors in that space. Here's a few Houzz albums that might give you ideas for the rest of house:http://www.houzz.com/projects/1203985/alta-vista-r...http://www.houzz.com/projects/1172212/elite-remode...

Anyway, the plan had been to give the 30 day notice (they are month to month) and then do the extensive remodel/repair.Today when making the rounds to give the notice I see in the 20 days since inspection the ceiling has caved in due to active leak in one room, the AC is actively leaking water with what appears to be tampering of the AC unit, mold on another part of the ceiling and a possible additional leak (can't tell if is a leak or their large freezer is defrosting as there is too much stuff blocking access).

., those along with other things can make living in a duplex seem unrealistic if your accustom to your 3 stall garage and man cave basement. That being said, if I was smarter and had given more thought to my financial future when I was 25 I would have house hacked several times over.
