Example- Atlanta- Sandy Springs in a large MSA in GA but it is made of of smaller cities such as East Point- BuckHead, etc.

Either the soil was reported wrong or the depth to water, or something.

I’ve been told on a few occasions south Austin west of i-35 has ‘soil’ issues.

I did find a contractor who is looking into the permits and suggested we get a soil engineer to make sure the septic will be sufficient.

It's a tricky place because homes may often end up with foundation issues there due to the soil, so I'd only look for homes there that are within 5 years old (and still do a foundation inspection).

Total cost of the new tank, excavation, filling the whole with new soil, and repairs to the damage to ground was about $10k.
