Once you have the place furnished most of the work can be handled by automated messages in Airbnb app or a channel manager (I use guesty for hosts) and a Pricing software (I use price labs for example).

I wanted to see if there are any apps or companies people are using to help automate/run their short term rentals that are far away or even out of state?

Its 2022, we've all seen carrot automated workflows.

It is a bit more work but I don’t spend more than an hour or two a week managing all my properties because there are lots of great tools to automate it. 

I use an app called Astra App that automates this based on deposit rules. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/...I use reserves for slow months in case we have to pay the mortgage and hoa.

However, if one decides to manage it themselves, systemized automations need to be in place otherwise you run the risk of missing some key messages to guests

I use ActiveCampaign because it has the most powerful automation options I found.

It is a service that automates actions between various different web services & tools.

The point of PM software is to help automate your daily tasks and integrate the different elements of property management that are interconnected.
