Hi Hannah, I'm thinking of putting a mail and package box with the ADU's address on a post by the main street sidewalk in the narrow strip between the driveway and the neighbors yard.

I had to dig up the street (owned by the county) and sidewalk (owned by the municipality). 10 feet deep.

It's hard as an out of town rehabber to do this but being local we try to figure out who the helpful neighbors are and kiss their behind to keep an eye on the house - we will cut their grass once in a while, shovel their sidewalk or whatever to keep them looking out.

You are going to have liability just like you do when you put down a sidewalk and someone slips.

If trash is on the sidewalk, the city will fine YOU.
