Without knowing any of your financial position of your work or side hustles it is hard to give you exact advice because you may be able to carry these homes until they are paid off and in that case they would provide solid returns, but there are likely better real estate investments out there.  

You have a natural advantage with other baseball players and providing them leases that fit their needs.Knowing a couple of others who have played minor league ball, your real estate strategy is going to be tricky because you will be very busy with baseball and it's travel. 

And assets that provide you with great depreciation but not great income or stability are just a form of robbing from Peter to pay Paul.   

At this time I do not have any money in an IRA its in an account provided by my employer.

@Hai Le - Usually you have to provide written notice / 30 day notice if you decide to not renew their lease or even just asking a tenant to leave.

Condition, pictures, any financials they can provide.  

The reality is the opposite - if it's not in writing then the PMC doesn't have to provide the service or can charge extra for it!

So we had it on our personal return last year and i won’t detail it but it was a bit sketch when we had to provide financials (we can redact mine but not hers long story).
