The top of the ceiling is not wide, so most of the space has a compromised ceiling height.   

Seems to be a reasonable compromise on the "cash flow" v "appreciation" balancing act.In other cases we are seeing folks that were able to negotiate with their employer to allow them to work remotely (yes, you can get a mortgage in such a scenario if your employer will confirm in writing that you're OK'd to work remote).

Fire damage can mean the structure has been compromised.

And then you can increase the security deposit in case there were to be damage to the home if your open to compromising. 

That will trigger a compromise and will get you into a property you don't want.

I think it's a good compromise

One wholesaler sent me a deal (that I ended up buying) where the foundation was on piers and roughly 40% of the piers under the house were severely compromised.
