The resources we had:- a bank (conventional) that lends money up to 35k for 650 credit score- hard money lender with APR 120%- seller/community (who acts like he doesn't want to talk at all)- a real estate mentor that costs $35K to useThe "answer" to this exercise was:Use personal credit to borrow from the bank and spend the $35k on mentor, and then mentor has the "connection" with the community bank to negotiate a deal and brought a 70K property for 40K with FMV of $140K.

There were issues syncing the reservation calendar, and it is nearly impossible to reach a customer support representative with Booking.com as an individual STR owner.

@Jonah Gunalda you fit the profile of a large segment of the passive investing community--someone who has a good income from something they are really good at, and would like exposure to real estate in their investment portfolio without distracting them from that very vocation that put them in the position to make such an investment in the first place.There probably isn't a "typical" profile of folks who do not and would not invest in syndications. 

Although the Burnt Store areas are seeing somewhat sustainable demand for owner-occupied properties, we're currently still not seeing enough support for activities that would draw tourism into that area.

I've always worked for myself and didn't have a ton of support so I was not able to prove my income for quite some time due to doing my taxes wrong or not understanding how things work.

Doorvest claims that they help identify, purchase, and own rental homes for a littles as 35K and help generate cash flow.At the moment, I'm little skeptical but wanted to give it a try and write each steps here (good or bad) and help the community here.
