Agreed, usually a SFD or small multi is much better for the landlord.I bet the OP errored in posting his numbers, what would be silly is to start out trying to rent a $1M SFD, but 10 condos might be better if that was correct.Varooom!

At the same time, homes in a Cleveland OH suburb that are selling for $60,000 should rent for $1200/mth using the rule but in fact according to Trulia they are renting for $550-800/mth.Can this "2% Rule" be accurate or has someone made an error?

Got 4 bids-$1.4 million$1.5 million$1.8 million$3.3 millionI shot the guy at 3.3 an email saying I think you might have a typo or calculation error, all the other bids were in the 1.4-1.8 range.
