What's really interesting is to see some of them being redeveloped into housing for seniors.Also shopping patterns have changed with work flexibility, so many of these malls don't need as big of parking lots that they once did when people could only shop after work or on weekends. 

From leaving my home friends and family I met some really good people and I hoped to share that experience and learn more about realestate in the process How did you find this deal and how did you negotiate it?

Starting the pre-approval process and it's been easy so far, but I do like to hear from people who have used a company before.

Be sure to pay attention to anticipated ARV and max LTV on the refinance, as well as seasoning requirements - this is where I usually see people run into problems.

You would be amazed at what people will steal.

"Fall in love with people, not with houses".Did your agent do a "cash out analysis" to show how much winds up in your pocket after the sale expenses?

Do you like people and handling renters and toilets? 

Rare do I hear of recommendations but I do hear people asking.I would think in any big city you think about, a visit to a local NARPEM meeting or 2-3 visits would be a great idea. 

Some people just are NOT cut out to be landlords.

Some hotels actually have a condo like structure, where people can own the units, but perhaps are limited on their personal use to only a certain amount of the year - the rest of the year it is in the rental pool managed by the hotel.If numerous room owners stopped paying their bills, you could get tax liens on numerous separately owned units.Hotels are a tough business, an issue I also see come up with them often is that they require refreshes, expensive and relatively often - at least once every 10 years, if not more often.
