It doesn't protect against other individuals infringing on those rights.That being said, I echo the common sentiment that posting "no gun" signs makes you/your property a target, and people that would use a weapon to harm others without justification will possess them anyway. 

Next time one of my utilities go up, I will ask for a complete cost analysis to understand my rate increase justification.    

Maybe we as landlords need to band together as an industry and develop some best business practices and seek true justification for why we are operating the way we are and reform so that the government doesn't need to step in so much and force us into reform.

There is no justification for you wishing suffering and death on people that aren't sheltering in place. 

Government will force landlords to shoulder some of the relief for working class and poor renters through changes in the timing, justifications and remedies we have to terminate.

It is not just if there is crime but what type.

They cannot afford for you to do something big because it will challenge the justifications they made for their own decisions.

The only good justification I can think of mentally for taking profits out from the get go while still maintaining a career is because the career you are in (if you plan on being in a while) is the sort of thing that earnings grow exponentially with experience or an established book of business.

I also sometimes wonder just if on a nationwide scale str properties became illegal and a new wave of inventory for both sales and traditional rentals would affect rents and home prices.

My justification is due to the fact that her inability to pay her bills on time resulted in the leak being undetected for approximately a month!
