Options I know of--1. claims adjuster plus insured appointed contractor--walk house together assessing damage and creating quote.2. claims adjuster and insurance company relationship contractor--same processI am sure there are a lot more ways it could be done, unfortunately, it is a process independent agents are not privy to.

I did get a tip from a few investors to make sure you write in the description “by appointment only” or “no trespassing” etc. to try to prevent something like this happening in the future.Has anyone had anything like this happen before?

The main issues with these inspectors is how long it takes for them to come out due to their high volume of appointments, especially this time of year now that is getting colder.

thanks @Christopher Phillips for the info - i just checked with my bank - the RBC bank and they do have a mortgage solutions for the properties in the US, i called for an appointment,but is this the best option, for instance what if i try to start a company based in the US - a local LLC, would it be easier (or cheaper), do you have / or heard about the abroad investors using the local US solutions for finance their business in the Statesdon't get me wrong - i don't have any problems with my credit score nor with the financial institutions in Canada, i'm just looking for the best deal...
