All ceilings, stairways and the game room bar accent wall are tongue and groove pine.

There are those who will tell you not to buy anything in either city that is on a street named after a tree (Pine, Chestnut, Laurel, etc), but while that does a pretty good job of eliminating the worst areas, it excludes so very decent areas.

Same goes for the multi-families in the back of Savannah Pines, there is always a unit or two for sale, but the people I have talked to who have looked at them state the quality is not there, especially for the prices they want.

@Joe Splitrock you can insure timber against fire just like any other asset.. now beetle kill that's another matter.. that has wreaked havoc on the Western Pine.. but our northwest fir that is in the coastal mountains were we had our tree farms virtually never burns. and there is no beetles in fir and Cedar..
