I'm a little concerned about this because there has recently been a lot of fury directed at landlords who buy homes in corporate entities, and there have been several comments from people requesting that corporations owning homes should be banned.

Someone said the eviction ban in California was extended again and as long as they've applied for rental assistance, you are limited.Off topic, but I can't believe there hasn't been a lawsuit filed against the government.

@Jacob Stevenson - doesn't look like grandfathering is relevant to you if this ordinance is the most current (this only applies when outlawing, banning, or updating restrictions).The question I'd ask is if you already had (or currently have) an STR permit?

Many areas are trying to lessen them, regulate them more, or outright banning them. 

I don’t know the odd of them getting 50% to ban STR, pry depends on the people renting them and how many of the other homes se owned by landlords who might be more favorable to allowing it. 

The local city municipality is considering banning STRs in residential areas and making it only in option in commercial zoned ordinances.  

So some places already had banned them.
