I've heard that some had to offer concessions to avoid evicting tenants, lower rent, and in one dramatic instance the valuation of the property dropped enough that even though the loan was being pad, it was called in due to the loan to value diminishing due to reduced valuation.I actually believe that the meltdown was so extreme that we're unlikely to see anything like it in the forseeable future, but that doesn't mean there are not big lesson's to be learned.Originally posted by @Junior Soares:@Tania ReubenDont sell, keep holding and keep them rented.

If you filed a quiet title action against them, the matter would be rated as to its importance and, if Citi decided it was even worth contesting, then a lawsuit over this property would be most probably be assigned to a very junior lawyer.

If you accidentally buy a foreclosure where the foreclosing entity is the junior lien holder, i don't think you are gonna get your money back.
