I remember during my college days we had tapestry over the entire ceiling, area rugs, dressers up against the wall, book shelves and milk crates of records and books, it's a real pain to do a thorough inspection.

Part of many companies strategy is raising capital and recycling funds into more and more deals, so raising money is probably the best major wealth building vehicle in RE.   

They're clearly milking the situation.  

You get ahead in this world by not paying retail for everything and getting milked dry with your money. 

I have a property at the end of a dead end street.We have three waste carts, recycle cart is blue, yard waste cart green, regular trash cart black.On the dead end we have my SFH rental, a triplex (which I have a contract on), a five building compound along the river, and two other SFHs.  

Milk it as long as you can!!

You could recycle the money multiple times in that span.Cheers-D

I have a creative contractor who had an idea to use recycled door panels for building material.  

I hear you, Arnie - the "other" fees (garbage, sewer, recycling, rainwater run-off, etc) far outstrip the actual water cost on my bill as well!

:DI started with 100k in January, and in my naive optimism I was planning to have it all back by December to recycle and reuse.
