It seems they want to be fully protected if by some wild series of events they ended up owning the property.

In any event some lenders will count up to 75% of gross rents as income while recording mortgage, taxes, insurance, HOA fees as "front-end" debt payments.

They are also always in the BP events here under Zen and the Art of Real Estate Investing.

Other times, I've specifically gone to events looking for GCs and handymen who also invest or want to begin.

As all these problems arise again, it will likely swing back to sellers understanding that it’s going to cost them just as much for the firm to represent them in the event of an unrepresented buyer as it would if they just paid a buyer agent fee, but they’re more protected from future litigation if the buyer has their own representation vs claiming they were misled by a seller or seller’s agent.

Is it like that is their address for the university to send mail or are they having events there?     

They have great networking events, panels, programs, etc. 

Investors do this to protect themselves in the event the note goes into default, they can avoid a judicial foreclose (expensive and time consuming) and just take the property back, and resell it.  

Some lenders require a qualifying event like moving, downsizing, etc.
