My extent of real estate is just countless hours researching articles online, and maxing out my library card :).

People in my RE farm didn't get the PC memo and don't even try to cover up their fear.

This allows me to log into my home PC and pull up Rent Manager ( my property management program), the marketing tracker spreadsheets, documents for deals in progress etc that aren't already stored on my portable 500GB hard drive that i use with the laptop.

It definitely is not flipped on my PC or phone.

I have learned what I know from many free resources including BP (blogs and forums), free real estate/business classes online, books from my local library, meeting with other investors, etc.

I gotta say that being a month away from my first direct marketing mailing, the debate on PC's vs.

Please share any books that have helped you craft sales copy, direct mail strategies, direct response pieces, etc. or anything along these lines.These book so not have to specifically deal Real Estate Investing, I'm just looking for a few reads I can put into my library.

There are lots of book recommendations on this site and I have found my library is able to provide quite a bit of them!

I'd start with some Dave Ramsey books- get them from the library!

If you want money people, you are networking in the wrong places with RE types, they know the game, what you need are private investors that you can inform, so long as you have the necessay knowledge.Civic organizations, the Red Cross, Literacy Council, Hospital Volunteers, Friends of the Library, Church groups, etc. are things the retirees get involved with doing community service.
