My view is that the extra income from STRs/MTRs basically compensates for the extra effort.  

I think I'm starting to understand your view and can see why you are making this point.Regardless of how I got to this point (i.e., investing $130K capital), how much am I benefitting from the current $45K of equity.

My advice on choosing the platform you hang your license with should be based on your exit strategy...and what you need to fund that exit strategy!
