Rod Blagoyevich - Illinois governor - proposes a gross receipts tax that taxes your top line income and would have killed blue collar business owners (easy way to take plumbers into the 250k tax bracket, btw) and Illinois Senator Obama is still not on record saying anything about it (unless someone can find it).

Thanks for the quick response Richard,I've actually been renting the place out for a couple years now and take full advantage off all my write-offs on my income tax.I just recently got a letter from the city that was titled "Notice of Possible Violation"...It's a notification that they are proposing a supplement to the city Rental Housing Provisions.

To get a deal, the developer needs to hook up with a non-profit hosuing agency, PHAs are prime targets to partner with, the proposal goes to the state level and comes back to go for approaval by the loacal PHAs, to show that a need exists and the city council, county commission must sign off as well.
