Hi Sarah, Really cool project, ideas i can think of from running one of our airbnbs in a football town:Small wooden fence in the back (cost less then full privacy but will give idea of enclosure, for better price maybe chap plastic fence?)

I was just quoted roughly $2,500 to demolition and repave the concrete patio slab and thus I am still exploring alternative less expensive options and a swale or may be the way to go.

If that doesn't work, maybe you could cut off that grout and, with careful knife work, dig out a little slit under the edge of the tile -- enough to insert a modified metal or plastic edging.
