STR are very competitive today and investing in a well-designed home is key to your success.

That is a long story but the summary was keeping engaged with the tenant kept a bad situation from becoming worse,   and eventually convinced them to move out.I don't disagree with standing your ground and holding the tenant responsible for paying for damage they caused,   but good luck getting a lump sum payment from any tenant,  especially a section 8 one.   

They do offer weekly classes and etc but I feel that the way it's set up it's designed for you to do more schooling then actual bidding.

But I am very slow at designing choices. 

I’ve been successful with Airbnbs and love the creative aspect of designing unique and appealing spaces.

My wife has a formal degree in design where whe loves creating floor plans and building/renovating homes.

A complete house remodel and design.

All that will happen is that the charity will send you rent designated for that tenant.  

While I'm not new to BP, it's been a while since I've engaged with the community. 

Lots of moving parts...and it's wonderful to be able to start with a blank canvas and design exactly what you want to build (as opposed to retrofitting based on the restrictions of an existing older structure).
