Should I continue to go with them, or should I try and keep communicate with him to include those expenses in the analyst? 

Some other great resources I recommend as a real estate investor myself are: "Rich Dad Poor Dad" by Robert Kiyosaki, REtipster (www.retipster.com), and Rental Income Podcast with Dan Lane.

Something that will help shed some light on this is reading Garrett Sutton's book "Start Your Own Corporation" as well as Robert Kiyosaki's "Rich Dad's Guide to Investing".  

During construction, Regular site visits and communication with the construction team will help ensure the project stays on track.

I let people know this is not a get rich quick scheme and like, any business, you get out of it what you put into it.
