I never force a seller by memorandum of contract like some.sure, I’d be upset but it’s generally not worth legal council and going to court over.

It can be done but you would need to have a plan presented before city council that would need to be approved and in turn have a variance granted.In short, it is a long process that requires a variance and is not guaranteed but can be done with patience.

I'm in Omaha and we recently had a rental unit registration and inspection program passed by the city council and the organizations backing it and lobbying the council members have clearly stated to their members this is but a first step and their eventual goal is rent control.
